How long has it been? Two years? 10 or
25? The years tend to pass like mere months as we age with our
sweethearts. I swear every birthday I have comes a little
quicker each time. Before you know it your children are in high
school, and then in college, and then providing for families of
their own. Okay, I won't get too far ahead here. Mine are still
young. The relationship I have with my wife, however; is
getting up there. It will be nine years this November. That
means I'd better come up with anniversary gift ideas, and fast.
These are the occasions you should always cherish and never
forget. If you do let the date slip your mind, you could end up
on the sofa for a week.
After nine years together, I'd have to say that I know and
understand my wife pretty well. I can tell when she's in a bad
mood, tired or just plain hungry. I always know if something is
bothering her, even though she commonly states that it's not,
in a twitchy and irksome tone. As all you men out there are
well aware, that's a girl thing. God knows why they do it, but
they do nonetheless. Now, regardless of all the quirks and
issues we encounter over the years, I always remember that
there's much more good than there is bad. This is a crucial
factor. However, if you find that there's more bad than good,
you may wish to reevaluate your current situation. Anyway, as
with most good, solid relationships, ours grows as time passes.
This means better anniversary gift ideas. Why, you may ask?
Well, that's a simple one. She's worth it! Just ponder for a
moment all the garbage she puts up with on her end. All the
things she does for you and the kids (if you have children).
This is what's important and makes her special. You want those
anniversary gift ideas to improve with each year.
Okay, so we've established the fact that anniversaries are
sacred and anniversary gift ideas are an important part of the
equation. Now, what about a few cool ideas? One that I think
ranks high is the weekend getaway. If it's possible, grab your
wife and take her away for a romantic weekend, just the two of
you. Try Charleston, or Savannah. These are great romance
spots.
